ITC Eras is a sans serif type design with unusual style, thanks to its slight forward slant and subtle variations in stroke weight. ITC Eras also has a large lowercase x-height. The inspirations for ITC Eras are twofold: Greek stone-cut lapidary letters and Roman capitals. The combination of wide curves and close letterspacing emphasizes the large open areas, the inner forms of the letters. ITC Eras is not a precise, geometric face. It appears spontaneous, like a serif-less written script. French designer Albert Boton created ITC Eras in conjunction with the late Albert Hollenstein, also of France. ITC Eras is available in six weights: light, book, medium, demi, bold and ultra. Cyrillic version developed at ParaType by Gayaneh Bagdasaryan.
